Volvo proudly presents their entry-level hatchback, the 2008 C30, to the automotive market. It is based on the S40 sedan but as a 2-door coupe style.
Inside the visually drawing sporty exterior is the surprisingly spacious interior. Up to four can fit inside the automatic climate controlled environment. The two rear bucket seats are positioned so the driver has maximum visibility. All seats are outfitted in Kalix textile/T-Tec that provides a unique, yet comfortable feel to the person in its hold. The center panel next to the driver has controls for the climate and audio controls. Speaking of audio, Danish specialist Dynaudio® has developed a superior audio system specifically for the C30. With MP3 capabilities and a CD slot, you can listen to your whole library wherever you are driving. You can even store your CDs in the various storage compartments founds scattered around the cockpit. The inside also holds cruise control, power features, various information clusters that give all vehicle diagnostics you can imagine and the Volvo Navigation System.
What drives this combination is the S40s optional turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that generates 227 horsepower. The buyer has a choice between a six-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission to complement this. The power this sporty vehicle is capable of is kept safe with Volvos various safety features. Frontal airbags, side-impact airbags and side curtain airbags all come standard. The optional Blind Spot Information System, which alerts the driver when another vehicle is in the blindspot, is also optional. The Intelligent Driver Information System also uses sensors to determine when a driving scenario demands your full attention; it will turn off non-essential alerts until the situation has passed.
Everything about the 2008 C30 is state of the art and is worth a look.
