Volvo Shrinking U.S. Line-Up

Who will make the cut?! S60? C30? It’s a fight to the death! Volvo is making a decision they hope will improve US-based sales, cutting a cluttered line up. The auto maker hopes to focus on “five or six” key models, including hybrid electric vehicles yet to be released.

Volvo currently rolls out 9 models a year in the US of A. Expect three, possibly four of those to go. V70 was recently given the boot – and President of Volvo North America, Doug Speck, has already confirmed the V50 is out. Other models, including S60, XC60 and XC90 are not going anywhere. So, which do you think are next?

The auto maker believes “a smaller lineup will help them maximize their marketing efforts and increase consumer awareness.”
